Owners, Marty & Michelle Monaco, were married on April 15th, 1998 and celebrating their 36th anniversary this year. In June of 1988 - Marty started his fabricating business in his grandfather's garage on the corner of Stoney & Ingham Avenue in Lackawanna,NY. The garage was 750 square feet in in size. This location allowed for 3 employees.
In 1994, the growing business relocated to 3781 Abbott Road in Orchard Park, tripling its size, in 2500 square feet of shop space. The parcel also included an additional housing rental building. As the business continued to blossom, Shell Fab's office was moved from the shop space into the bottom floor of the rental unit. The staff grew to 11 employees.
In 2000, Shell Fab, once again relocated - this time to the hometown of owners, Marty & Michelle in West Seneca. At 2855 Clinton Street, the new space was more than four times larger than the OP location, over 10,000 square feet. In 2006, the decision was made to begin fabricating granite, marble and quartz surfaces along with the current laminate and solid surface products. A 14,000 square foot addition was added, and state of the art equipment purchased for this new phase of fabrication. The employee count was over 40!
In January of 2019, the business moved right down the street to a brand new 55,000+ square foot facility, located at 3260 Clinton Street, while still remaining in West Seneca. When considering the construction of the new facility - Marty Monaco insisted on choices that reflect both safety and environmental conservation. Installing the newest versions of crane systems (to maneuver product), dust collection (to efficiently remove dust from the tooling systems and air), a recycling water system (to date has conserved over 5,000,000 gallons of water) are just a few of the selections. Shell Fab proudly employs 67 full time and 3 part time employees!
Owners: Marty & Michelle Monaco were both born and raised in the town of West Seneca. They have been married for 36 years and have 3 children - Allison 33, Devon 31 (Kassandra) and Kennedy 30 (Alexandra)! Their children were also raised in the town of West Seneca, where they are dedicated community servants.
